It's been awhile since I have posted. I couldn't remember my password. That's the problem with getting old. I shouldn't say that though. I have always had trouble remembering things. I was the one Jerry and the kids blamed when there was something missing around the house!Inevitably I would put some papers or other things away and then forget where I put them! I think I inherited it from my Mom. Last Sunday was Mother's Day. I feel blessed to be the Mom of three of the most delightful kids in the whole world. I wasn't expecting anything big. Phone calls would have been enough. We are all over Texas this year and I had to work Saturday and Sunday morning so it was going to be business as usual. Oh, but wait! After an early morning at Macy's, 4am-10am, I was sitting in my big comfy chair watching tv when, what did I hear but a knock at my door! Just a few minutes earlier Jerry had been on the phone with Rick, now I know to be aka Mandy saying they were close. When I opened the door I had the biggest surprise EVER!! My girls said "Happy Mother's Day!" WOW -- if ever I have had a pick me upper that was it! Yes, the tears of joy flowed. I learned that Val had gotten up early that morning and drove to Temple then they drove to Cleburne together. We headed to the Stockyards in Ft. Worth. What fun!! A cattle drive, Jerry and Val went through the human maze, Mandy and I are the adventerous type so we tried out the mechanical bullride. LOL. We were so brave! It's not as easy as it looks! Five seconds is a long time to stay on a bucking bronco don't you think? Let's just say, my dismount was a wee bit more graceful than my mount! Mandy needs to practice though!! We ended the evening with a dinner at Babes. After church Sunday morning and a nice lunch the girls had to head home. Thanks girls, I love you sooooo much. I'll never forget Mother's Day 2009!
Jerry graduated last Saturday with his Masters Degree from ACU. I'm very proud of him for his dedication to his studies. I must say he is one disciplined man!! I'm glad he is finished with this part of his schooling. There's more to come!! Friday has always been the day he and I hang out together. Since the early 80's in youth ministry he has taken Friday's off to spend the day with me and the kids. Yesterday we went to Arlington to shop for a dining room suit. Jerry was hungry for a salad so we had a nice lunch at Souper Salad! (Yea I know, Jerry hungry for a salad, what's wrong with this picture? Too much Hebrew I think!LOL) Then off to Ft. Worth to Sundance Square. Fun place down there. Did a lot of walking, then a movie, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past -- my kind of movie, dinner at Risky's, more walking, then headed out for ice cream. An hour 1/2 later, after getting lost we don't know where in Ft. Worth, we got our ice cream in Burleson and headed home. Tired and sleepy after a great day. I love my life!

And the biggest tease of the evening -- Jeff and April went to the hospital, but left with no BABY!!!! If all goes as planned, grandkid #3 will arrive Friday, May 22nd. But, it's ok if he or she arrives early!!!
